How long have you taught at CSUSM?
I just completed my 12th year as a faculty member
What brought you to CSUSM?
The exciting opportunity to develop a master of science in speech-language pathology from the ground up.
Can you tell us a little about your background?
Few people likely know that prior to my work in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, I earned an MBA in Professional Accounting from the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University. I took a position as an auditor in the New York division of the Big 6 Accounting firm of Ernst & Young. I specialized in Healthcare and Not-for-Profit entities and worked for such clients as New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital.
What’s the best part of working at CSUSM?
Everything! I cherish our students, am grateful for my faculty and staff colleagues, and appreciate our administration’s commitment to shared governance. What I think sets us apart from other institutions is that we are innovative and responsive to our community’s needs.
What’s your favorite food?
It is a toss up between Chicken Korma or Zereshk Polo
What’s your favorite book?
The Professor and the Madman – it feeds my love of words
What would you like to do when you retire?
Salsa dance my way around the world
