How long have you worked at CSUSM?
It will be 4 years this June as an employee. However, I spent two and a half years here as a student as well.

What brought you to CSUSM?
As an alumna of CSUSM, I have always loved this campus. I really enjoy working in academia, so taking a position at CSUSM was an obvious choice for me.

What is the greatest reward of your job?
Seeing our MSW students graduate each Spring! The world can never have too many wonderful social workers, and CSUSM grads make the BEST ones!

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I was the soloist at my CSUSM commencement in 2005.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I like to spend as much time as possible with my kids, family and friends. Life is short and time is precious. I also enjoy baking, crafts, and have recently developed a love for woodworking (building furniture).

What’s the best part about working at CSUSM?
My colleagues, hands down. They make it a joy to come to work every day and I truly appreciate the support, comradery, and laughter we share.

What is your long-term goal?
I plan to remain at CSUSM for the long haul. I may very well change positions over the next 25-30 years, but I don’t think I will ever leave CSUSM.

What is your favorite movie or food?
I have too many favorite movies and books to list. My favorite foods are definitely pizza and ice cream (original, I know).

What would you like to do when you retire?
That is quite a long way off, but  I look forward to being able to travel a LOT! I also hope that I’ll have grandbabies to spend time with at that point in my life.
